This record began in relative isolation as a solo effort on behalf of smart, and, over the course of 14 months, transformed into a mammoth group-effort that explores the relationships of success, failure, togetherness, isolation, and the spaces in which those opposing forces blur together and blow apart. And that's got to count for at least something.
